"Skills for a Lifetime"
"Beyond Please and Thank You"
For girls and boys age 8 -12.

Our five session course is designed to increase the student's awareness and self confidence by teaching dining and social skills that play a crucial part in their development.  The class is conducted in a thoroughly enjoyable learning style.

Introductions

The correct handshake, eye contact and remembering names will help the student make the best first impression.

Communication Skills

Students will learn basic conversation skills, including appropriate mealtime topics.

Dining Skills

The student will learn to hold and control a knife and that each knife is "married" to a fork.  They will master the art of eating soup and how to use a long handled spoon.  We take the mystery out of which fork to use. And, when does a fork need a spoon?    By putting it all together, they are at ease whether they are dining American or Continental Style.

Telephone Etiquette

We will review the correct way to make and receive calls and how to record and relay messages to others.

   Thank You Notes

The children learn the four easy rules on how to write a great thank you note.

         Elegant Five Course Dining Experience

The children will have an opportunity to use their new skills when we dine in elegant surroundings at an upscale local restaurant.
